CUB’s mission is to represent all residential utility customers in Oregon. CUB is funded by ratepayers to challenge rate increase and any utility related issues brought before the Public Utility Commission and the State Legislature.
This is a free service through the FCC that allows you to test the quality of your internet connection. By using this test, you are also helping the National Broadband project to map internet connectivity in the US.
The Oregon Broadband Advisory Council was created in the 2009 Legislative session to help ensure the implementation of statewide broadband strategies. In early 2011, they released the Oregon Broadband Map, an interactive map that allows consumers to see the broadband providers in their area.
This is a great website that allows you to see what other consumers are saying about the cell phone provider coverage in your city or town. This is the only website that we have found that is a not connected to any service provider and allows really honest consumer reviews of wireless coverage.
Mobile Citizen is a national non-profit organization offering inexpensive wireless internet to schools and other non-profits. They utilize the Clear Wireless Network to provide service. Please check the coverage map on their website for more information.
